The Volunteer’s in Paupack participated in its annual Winter Fest. Every year, Volunteers in Paupack go to Winter Fest, a celebration in Hawley. The holiday event started in 1999, when the shops of Hawley came together and spread the Christmas spirit. It has been going on for 25 years, with 2020 being cancelled due to Covid-19. As the tradition moved forward, VIP members have been helping over the past few years with the fun.

The group worked at different stations around the town. Some members helped the Wallenpaupack Band with their parade, and other groups served hot chocolate at the Hawley Park and did fun activities there for families and friends to enjoy. A tour was held at The Vault, where the volunteers would give a brief history of the place.

Another big part of Winter Fest is the horse and carriage, run by Brook Valley Farm. The business comes down from Carbondale twice a year, once for the Hawley Hoedown and the other being the Winter Fest. Even though it was cold this year, it was still a fun experience for the community to enjoy before the holidays.
