The Wallenpaupack Area School District has many seniors who shine each in their own ways. A prime example of a bright student is Madeline “Addie” Struble, a student who is known as kind and dedicated to everything she is involved in. Addie joined the school district in the sixth grade and has been involved in a series of clubs and activities. She has been a part of band since the third grade, starting at her first school, and choir in eighth. She joined the marching band in ninth and FCCLA, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, in eleventh.
Addie joined The WAHS Players her freshmen year. Her favorite play she got to play in was Blue Stockings during her junior year. “I loved the storyline, and the play had a good meaning,” she explained. Many of her favorite memories come from the shows that she has been involved in, along with the friendships she made along the way during those months. She is also involved in the National Honor Society due to her good grades. Outside of school, she participates in ballet in her free time, along with working at her job.
Addie has two sets of plans for her future. One plan she has is going straight to the workforce, where she gets to go out and meet fresh faces. Her other path is going to college in the city and getting an education in anthropology, or human evolutionary biology. She wants to have a Bachelor’s in those fields and gain a master’s in museum studies. She would love to work in a museum as a curator when she is older, due to her love for history and how she gets to work with paintings and objects.
Madeline would love to thank Mrs. Hoffmann, due to her always listening and teaching more about theatre. She would love to thank Dr. Ferrara, due to her teaching her so much about the current news and helping her discover what she wants to do in the future. Addie’s last thanks go to Mr. Winagle. We thank Addie for her hard work and dedication that she brings to the school and cannot wait to see what her future holds for her.
