The Wallenpaupack girls wrestling team had their first match of the season on Wednesday, December 3rd against Valley View High School. The match was away, and the varsity team began at 6:45 after the junior high match. Both junior high and Varsity won, junior high winning by an overall score of 48-12, while the varsity team’s overall score was 66-6.
They had their second match of the season on Monday, December 8 at home against Crestwood, and they were victorious by a score of 54-18. Although there were only six contested matches, winners by fall for the Lady Bucks were Lillian Schock, Annalee Counterman, and Sophia McGoldrick.
The team travels to Honesdale for a tournament this weekend.
