Ben Scholl, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is known for the leadership. Outside of school, Ben is the FBLA state president. He also enjoys running, which is why he is a part of the cross-country and track teams at Wallenpaupack. Another activity he enjoys is photography. He often travels to sporting events around the area and takes pictures that will later go into his freelance photography business. In his spare time, Ben likes to attend car shows and he wakeboards. Ben wants to major in business, and he is currently enrolled in many business classes in high school.
He has been a four-year cross-country runner and has been a track and field member for three years but will not continue into his senior year. Despite his high school running success, Ben has chosen not to continue running at the collegiate level.
Not only is Ben involved in many activities, but he is also successful in them. Ben is the FBLA state president, but he also competes for our FBLA club while representing Wallenpaupack. In school, Ben is class president and enjoys his role and all the responsibilities that come with it. Ben is also involved in the WASA program at the high school where he is the Vice President for Media. Despite Ben’s long list of leadership roles, he still keeps up with his grades and community, hence his National Honor Society membership.
Ben’s favorite class is Aviation because of all the great opportunities he gets to experience. He loves the often field trips where he gets to learn more about the aviation industry. Not only does he love to experience new things, he loves to learn new things. One of his favorite things about aviation is the new stuff he gets to learn about the business world for each field trip. These experiences are so important to him because they give him more opportunities to learn more about his major.
Ben is planning to attend a university where he will study Business Administration. He has yet to decide where he will continue his studies but is excited to start the next chapter of his life at a university. If Ben could give advice to underclassmen, it would be to get involved and try as many new things as possible. He thinks that getting involved can make your high school experience more enjoyable and provide many opportunities in the future.
