On October 15th, Wallenpaupack Area High School proudly hosted the FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) Northeast Regional Leadership Meeting in the high school library. The event brought together over 90 students from both Wallenpaupack and Delaware Valley to learn, lead, and connect.
WAHS FCCLA Co-Presidents and Northeast Regional Officers, Jewel Dickerman and Vivian Yetter, led the opening session alongside fellow NE Regional Officers from the Delaware Valley School District. Together, they welcomed attendees and introduced the day’s focus on FCCLA’s mission — promoting personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of workshops designed to strengthen leadership, communication, problem-solving, and goal-setting skills. These interactive sessions encouraged members to step outside their comfort zones and think creatively about how they can make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
In addition to the workshops, attendees had the chance to network with peers from both districts, sharing ideas and exploring new programs to bring back to their local chapters. The event not only celebrated collaboration but also inspired future leaders to continue growing through FCCLA’s mission and opportunities.
