Girl’s tennis team after their match

On Friday, October 10, the top two singles players on the Wallenpaupack Girls Tennis team, Victoria Latek and Olivia Kogan, played in the District Two Singles tournament at Wilkes University and King’s College in Wilkes Barre. Victoria won her first round of the tournament by a score pf 6-1 and 6-2. In her quarterfinal match against Abington Heights High School, Victoria fought valiantly. The match was remarkably close, and Victoria lost a three-set instant classic by the scores of 6-3, 6-7, 0-6.
Olivia won the first round of the tournament by a score of 6-4, 6-4 against Scranton High and then lost to Delaware Valley by a total score of 2-6, 2-6.
The girl’s tennis team will send two doubles teams to the District Two tournament that starts today at Kirby Park in Wilkes Barre.
