As the leaves start falling, fall sports slowly come to a close. However, our girl’s tennis team is planning to drag their season out by going to districts. With a record of 5-4, they are currently standing at 3rd in the district, securing their place. Starting with a loss against Montrose (1-4), the girls became motivated to beat their next opponent, Riverside in which they won (5-0).
Unfortunately, they would lose the next two games against Scranton Prep (1-4) and Abington Heights (1-4).
Bringing back the girls’ team spirit, the captains and seniors, Victoria Latek and Abby Cykosky, led them to victory against Delaware Valley (5-0) and Mid Valley (5-0). Another loss snuck up on them against West Scranton (1-4).
Most recently, the team defeated Scranton (5-0), and North Pocono (5-0). Celebrating their seniors, senior night will be on September 24th. The match will start at six against Honesdale. Let’s go girls!
