Mrs. White with her birthday cupcakes!

The Wallenpaupack Area High School Library Assistant just turned 90 years old on September 9. She lived in Hawley her whole life and went to high school in Hawley, which is where the Hawley Center is found now. She used to be a substitute teacher for the district before she became an assistant librarian, and when the opening appeared, she wanted to be an official part of the school. She always enjoyed reading, so it was a perfect opportunity for her. Mrs. White has been working in the library since February 10,1981. She worked at both libraries, the old one that used to be in the aviation room, and the current one.
“I have never really had a bad day here at school,” Mrs. White said, “I get along with all the students and all the staff. It has just been a wonderful experience to be a part of everyone’s life.” The whole staff and students wished Mrs. White an amazing day, and we are all grateful to have her in our district.
