As we begin the fall season, soccer season also begins. The girls so far have a record of 1-5. They kicked off their first game against Pittston at home. Sadly, the girls could not come out on top, taking the loss by a score of 3-1. Since then, the girls have played Mountain View, Wyoming Area, Valley View, Delaware Valley, and Abington Heights.
The girls got their first win of the season against Mountain View. Their offense really came through, scoring 8 goals, while the defense was able to keep Mountain View’s offense from scoring a single goal.
At Wyoming Area, the girls took a loss by a score of 9-0, versus Valley View they lost by a score of 5-0, against Delaware Valley it was 5-1, and against Abington Heights it was 10-0. Though these were tough losses, the girls are looking to move forward and improve for the upcoming games. This year’s captains, the 3 seniors, are Sarah Decker, Alexa Laing, and Macy Story. The Paupack Press wishes these girls good luck for their upcoming season.
