This last week has been full of ups and downs for the girls. Starting off strong with a win against Scranton high school on April 28th. The score was 17-2 after 3 innings. Lucy Babyak collected 3 hits in her 3 at bats. Next, the girls run-ruled Delaware Valley with a score of 12-2. Gabrielle Hieber collected 3 hits in her 3 at bats. Madison Haynes also made a diving catch in center field (video below). Later in the week, the girl’s faced Delaware Valley again and lost by a score of 10-7. The next day, May 3rd, the girls traveled to North Pocono high school and took a loss 7-1. Clara Babyak went 3 for 4 at the plate along with Sarah Decker who went 2 for 3. On Wednesday, May 7th, the girls travel to Valley View for their 2nd matchup against them.
JV has had a very successful season so far with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss. Recently, they faced West Scranton and won. Next, they faced up against Scranton and won with a score of 16-0. Hannah Diadone drove in 4 runs for the team and had 2 hits in her 3 at-bats. The girls next game is Tuesday, May 6th, against Honesdale. On Thursday, May 8th, they face up against Delaware Valley.
