On April 25, the Wallenpaupack Area High School held its annual spring pep rally. During the school week, the student council held spirit days to help raise the excitement of the event. The first day was set on Tuesday, April 22, where the students wore the colors of the earth. Wednesday, April 23, was teacher and student swap day, where the students dressed up as their favorite teacher. Many teachers dressed up as students, getting the outfits spot-on. Thursday, April 24, was dress as your favorite celebrity. Finally, the student body wore purple and white to support the pep rally and to show off their amazing school spirit.

The pep rally showed off all the spring sports. Softball and baseball had a mini scrimmage against each other, with the teams showing off their ball skills. The track and field team held a 4 by 1 race, where the girls real 4 by 1 team ran against the boy throwers. The runners passed on a stick of beef jerky, with the throwers winning the skit in the end. The boys’ tennis team rocked out as they played a mini tennis game on the ground, publicizing the school even more. The grades got to take part in two mini games, sweep the potato and the three-legged race, the seniors demolishing in both. The end of the pep rally had a dodgeball tournament, with the senior boys winning in the end. The student council would like to thank the school for supporting the spirit week. Go Bucks!
