With having a boys’ tennis team this year, we’d like to mention the four senior members, Denim Horsford, Mohammed Abdallah, Igor Petek, and Angelo Amitrano. None of these seniors have played competitive tennis before except Igor Petek when he was seven. Senior Denim Horsford plays first singles on the team. Igor Petek, a foreign exchange student from Croatia, plays second singles. Playing third singles is senior Angelo Amitrano. Lastly, senior Mohammed Abdallah plays first doubles. Most of their history of playing tennis was limited to playing for fun during gym class. Surprisingly those skills have transferred into a real match play. The boys’ varsity tennis team has not won a match yet, but with improving skills, they are sure they will.
