This week, we shine the spotlight on Elizabeth Miller, a driven senior with who plans to attend a four-year university to study fire science, with a particular interest in arson investigation or continuing her work in search and rescue operations. She has already laid a strong foundation for this path through her 4-year involvement in the WAHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Protective Services program. Notably, she served as President of the WAHS Protective Services Activities Program, where she demonstrated both leadership and passion for this field. In addition to her academic and career-focused extracurriculars, Elizabeth is passionate about sports! She served as President of the WAHS Unified Sports Team for a year andrecently earned a varsity letter for Unified Track. Outside of school, Elizabeth runs her own small bakery business and enjoys competitive bowling. When asked for advice she would give to her peers, Elizabeth shared, “My advice, build a strong bond around fellow students and teachers who are there for you in your darkest time. When I lost 3 family members my junior year, I wouldn’t have made it if I didn’t have the bond with the people I do.” She credits her father as her biggest supporter and best friend. On behalf of the Paupack Press, we want to thank to Elizabeth for her involvement in the WAHS community and wish her the very best as she pursues her future endeavors!
