Lauren Peterman, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is an outgoing student who’s heavily involved with the school and its community. Lauren is a dedicated member of the student ambassador program, HOSA, National Honor Society, and the executive council (where she serves as its media coordinator). On top of this, Lauren is also a manager for the boys’ football and wrestling teams.

Among all these, Lauren’s favorite role is within the student council, where she finds pride and joy in planning activities that bring the school community together. She believes her most significant achievement during high school is helping establish the Senior Trunk or Treat event. Lauren really wanted to initiate a tradition for Halloween as the school didn’t previously have any.

One of Lauren’s most cherished memories from high school is from the times she spent sitting on the sidelines of football games. Lauren remembers the refreshing fall atmosphere and the sounds of cheering that came with each touchdown. Moments like those are ones she believes she’ll carry with her long after she graduates.

When it comes to her future, Lauren intends to attend Saint Joseph’s or Thomas Jefferson University to pursue an accelerated doctorate in occupational therapy and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences. In the next five to ten years, she envisions herself graduating, traveling as an occupational therapist to pay her student debt, and eventually settling down with a family and a career in pediatrics or home health.

Above all, Lauren wants to be remembered and viewed as somebody who anyone could turn to for help, and as a kind and outgoing person. She intends on making the most out of the remainder of her time at Wallenpaupack and enjoys every moment before graduation. Through her many achievements and roles within the school community, Lauren will leave Wallenpaupack with a legacy of her own.
