The Wallenpaupack girl’s tennis team is capping off their incredible season! The girls had their team districts on October third, where they won against West Scranton. From there it was On to the semi-finals at Kirby Park, where they celebrated another victory against Crestwood! At their final match in the finals against Abington they unfortunately took a loss but got second place overall for team districts. For singles districts, junior Alaina Burke and senior Sarah Niemiec represented Wallenpaupack. Sarah placed third in the district! Last Thursday, they also had two teams compete at doubles districts, consisting of senior Sarah Niemiec and junior Alaina Burke, and senior Soleil Wright and sophomore Samira Feller. Soleil and Samira made it to the quarterfinals, and Sarah and Alaina made it to the semifinals. We’re so proud of our girls, what an incredible season they’ve had! Congratulations to all of them on their accomplishments.
