After School Program

The After School Program, ASP, offers students a chance to engage with their peers and community outside of school through various activities. Since its start, ASP has evolved and changed better to suit the interests and needs of its students. The program starts in September, runs through December, and provides many activities throughout the year.

Some of these activities include decorating/painting pumpkins, tie-dyeing t-shirts, and taking trips to places in our area. One of the club’s recent trips was to Ritter’s, where students enjoyed apple cider and doughnuts, picked pumpkins and apples to take home, and explored the farm. In December, the group even plans to attend a banquet at Gresham’s Chop House.

ASP’s mission is to provide students with a place to socialize in different settings. This helps some students meet new friends and learn to appreciate the diversity within their community. For many, it is a vital opportunity, especially for those who may find it challenging to join other clubs. The After-School Program focuses on the importance of social engagement and community involvement, offering students a supportive environment to grow outside of their classrooms.
