The Class of 2025 contains a variety of well-rounded students, and Senior Soleil Wright is one of them. She is a part of many activities and can be spotted anywhere from FCCLA to Leadership and Diversity. Aside from academic clubs, she is also a part of the Tennis and Track teams at the school. Soleil also mentioned she joined the wrestling team which she said was her, “favorite activity,” as well as her, “new passion.” Even as a new wrestler she had amazing feats, including her biggest accomplishment, helping her team win districts. She relayed to me that joining the wrestling team, “has really made a difference in my life.”
As Soleil recounted her high school years, she mentioned many things that I found interesting and inspiring. For one, she mentioned her fondest memory of meeting her best friend Tati whose she said, “basically became my sister.” Her love for her best friend is one of the many reasons she rated her high school experience a ten out of ten as well as her insurance to make every day of the year, “as enjoyable as possible.” She even left advice for underclassmen, mentioning that no matter how much you think someone will judge you, do what you would love, and “Be yourself.” Her personality really shines out in that statement, and, as a fellow peer, getting to know Soleil was amazing. She has such confidence and boldness apart from anyone you have ever met before.
With her list of activities, Soleil’s future is looking very bright. Her top-notch athletic prowess has inspired her to become either a coach or an athletic administrator. Right now, since it is so early in the year, she hasn’t decided which college she would like to attend, but her top schools include Temple University, University of Michigan, and Mount Saint Mary University. With college application deadlines approaching, I wish her so much luck, and know she is going to go far.
