Electronic Sign

Wallenpaupack Area High School is excited to announce the installation of a brand new electronic sign, designed to enhance communication with the community. Superintendent Mr. Gunuskey shared details about this project, highlighting its thoughtful design and strategic placement.

The sign, including both the screen and the base, will measure 6’9″ by 7’2″. The base, constructed from steel, will withstand the harsh winters and heavy traffic along Route 6. Adorned in the school colors, purple and white, the base will feature a prominent “W” on both sides, proudly representing Wallenpaupack Area High School.

The electronic messaging board itself will stand 3’11” tall and stretch 6’4″ wide, providing clear and vivid messaging visible from both sides. The location of the sign was carefully selected to ensure optimal visibility for travelers on Route 6 in both directions, as well as for motorists coming down Atlantic Avenue.

Currently, parts of the steel framework for the base have been installed, with the next phase of construction set to begin shortly. The school aims to complete the sign by graduation, though weather conditions will play a crucial role in meeting this target.

This new digital sign is a significant step towards better communication with the community. Wallenpaupack Area High School serves not only its students but also various groups and organizations throughout the year. The electronic sign will keep commuters along Route 6 informed about school events and activities, strengthening the bond between the school and the community.
