On Tuesday, April 30, the Wallenpaupack track team went against Western Wayne. The team was able to do the first race, the 4 by 8, and both boys and girls hurdles events before a thunderstorm hit Sharkey Rosetti Stadium, causing the meet to be pushed to May 1. However, that did not hold the Buckhorns back. The team posted on an amazing meet, with many runners and field individuals getting personal bests. The boys beat the Wildcats 118 to 31 and the girls defeated the Lady Cats 123 to 25. However, this won’t be the last track meet of the season, due to many individuals on the team heading to invitationals and districts. Districts will take place on May 13 and 14 at Scranton’s Memorial Stadium.
