On April 19, the Wallenpaupack track team went to North Pocono High School to participate in the Twilight invitational. At the event, the running events start at 4 pm and go through all the events, that have up to eleven heats per event, until the runners are finished. Paupack had many good finishes at the invitational, with many of our runners, jumpers, and throwers finishing in the top three. Ben Ostroski won the gold medal for the throwing events (discus, javelin, shot put) and Tyler Yakoboski earned second place overall in the throwing section. Our girls four by four team, June Brown, Victoria Latek, Jessie Gallagher, and Ella Smith won second place in their event. Finally, Abby Kimler won the bronze medal in the high jump. The Wallenpaupack team has been having an amazing year, and we hope the team continues to give it their all!
