From Friday, December 8, through Sunday, December 10, the Downtown Hawley Partnership held its annual Winterfest. Activities included a chocolate and coffee tasting at the Cocoon Coffeehouse, a bonfire in Bingham Park, a concert at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, an Artisan and Craft market at the Hawley Hub, a Winterfest Brunch at Settlers Inn, the Ritz Annual Christmas Show, the Cookie Walk at the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley, a Breakfast with Santa at the Waterfront at Silver Birches, the Christmas Parade from Spring Street to Bingham Park, WAHS’s Chamber Choir Caroling, a Live Nativity at the Hawley United Methodist Church, and much more!
On Saturday, December 9, Wallenpaupack Area High School’s Volunteers in Paupack assisted with the festivities downtown. Volunteers also gave tours of the historical Downtown Hawley Partnership building and assisted with horse and carriage rides.
The Paupack Press held a bake sale to raise funds for team jackets. Reporters volunteered time to bake and donate to the sale.
