On Monday, November 13, 98 students and staff left Wallenpaupack Area High School for a 5-day trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. 46 of the attendees departed fromNewark Airport with the remaining 52 departing from LaGuardia. Students stayed at the All-Star Sports Resort. The first evening, many students cooled off in the Surfboard Pool before heading to bed. Students received one breakfast voucher and one lunch/dinner voucher each day.
Students attended one park per day, starting with Magic Kingdom and following with EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. When boarding buses to transport them to the parks, Chief Clader and Dr. Caruso checked each student to ensure everybody was accounted for. Around 2 PM, Mrs.Campbell and Sr. Smith checked each student at a central location in the park. When the students returned for the evening, they checked in with Chief Clader and Dr. Caruso once again.
Tuesday evening, students enjoyed a Domino’s pizza pool-party after a long day at Magic Kingdom. On Friday, the group departed from the resort for the flight home. Students arrived back at Wallenpaupack Area High School around 4 o’clock on Saturday morning.
