It’s official, the cross country regular season is over, but we have four runners
training for the state meet at Hershey. On Wednesday, October 25, the top
seven runners from both the girls and guys team ran at the PIAA District Two
Championships, and the teams had an excellent showing! The boys finished third out of
35 teams, and girls finished sixth out of 26 teams.
As mentioned, a few members of the team will be heading to states on November 4 at
Hershey. The members include Aiden Janowicz, Chase Predmore, Kelcie Fillebrown, and
June Brown. We hope they are able to achieve their personal best times.
I talked to cross country head coach, Mr. Brown, and I asked him how he felt about the
season. “I loved it. From the competitive side, it was great…team-wise it was a blast. I
thought we had one of the best teams of people that we had in years, both competitive
wise and had a good time as a team.”
I also asked him how he was feeling about next season, and he gave an excellent
response. “We have an extremely talented young team.”
We hope the cross country team has a good season next year, and we wish the runners
the best of luck in Hershey this weekend.
