On Thursday, October 26, brace yourself for an orange wave at Wallenpaupack Area High School, as students and staff gear up in vibrant orange clothing. The occasion? It is the much-awaited Go Orange Day, a day dedicated to fostering a culture of kindness and compassion among students and the community. Drawing inspiration from the cherished tradition of Rachel’s Challenge and the brilliant orange shirts from our early school years, Go Orange Day stands as a powerful symbol against the issue of bullying in schools.
Last year’s Go Orange Day saw heartwarming gestures where students penned the names of those who had shown them kindness on pumpkin-shaped pieces of paper. This year, however, Volunteers in Paupack is upping the ante, gifting bright orange bracelets to individuals caught in acts of kindness throughout the day.
Let’s make a collective commitment to kindness, extending warmth and empathy to everyone around us. Mark your calendars and join the movement by sporting your best orange attire on October 26th!
