Local History Club Haunted Ghost Tours

Written by Loralie Love

The Local History Club focuses on real events that happened in Wayne and Pike Counties. The
club does two major events in the school year; the Haunted Ghost Tours in the fall, and the
Fourth-Grade tours in the spring.

I interviewed Emily Brown who has been a member of the Local History Club for four years and
has been doing both tours yearly. She said that during the Haunted Ghost Tours, they use real
life stories from a book called Murder, Mayhem, and Sundry Misadventures and recreate these
stories at the Dorflinger Glass Museum. She also says that they do these tours at a house that is
kept in mint condition from this period in a row of houses behind the actual museum, where
the glass workers lived. These tours will be taking place on October 26 at 6pm at the Glass
Museum in White Mills. If you have any questions, you can always find or email Dr. Schmalzle.
