Club Fair

WRITTEN BY JEWEL DICKERMAN

On September 16th, Wallenpaupack Area High School hosted a club fair during the school day to show students the clubs they are to participate in. The club fair was held in the auxiliary gym and students were able to come in and look at all the clubs and sports that WAHS had. During the club fair, there was music playing, and you could talk to the students in the clubs. It is amazing to see our school hold a club fair because they stay involved with their school, especially the first-year students. When you have students staying involved, it helps them feel like they belong somewhere, and it shows school pride! Staying involved provides opportunities for students to develop essential life skills. Extracurricular activities, clubs, and volunteering exposes students to leadership, teamwork, and problem solving. These skills are invaluable not only in school but also in future careers and personal relationships!  Wallenpaupack cares about their students and loves to see them stay active and participate in the many clubs they have. There was an amazing turnout and it seemed like most students found something they liked! Some activities that our school has are Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Local History Club, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), VIP (Volunteers in Paupack), WAHS Players, WAHS Boys Baseball team, WAHS Softball Team, Yearbook club, National Art Honor Society (NAHS), Art club, Science Olympiad, Scholastics Team, Buckhorn Cheerleaders, WAHS Wrestling Team, WAHS Boys Soccer Team, WAHS Girls Soccer Team, WAHS Boys Basketball Team, WAHS Girls Basketball Team, WAHS Girls Field Hockey Team, WAHS Swim team, and WAHS Girls Tennis Team. Here are some of the photos from the event
